WEDDING RECEPTION SITE SAN DIEGO
Indoor or Outdoor Reception?
Depending on what fits in your budget, and sounds like more fun, choosing
a site for your reception needn’t be a hassle. It can be as simple
as having the wedding party and guests over your home, or another’s
residence, for a moderately catered event. Or it can be a large gala involving
a spacious hall, lots of fine food, drink and dance. Outdoor receptions
can be equally as fancy as indoor. With a coveted site rented at some
private location, an outdoor reception can offer the thrill of al fresco
dining, live music and fresh air. But, indoor receptions not only have
that traditional feel, but also they possess some features that cannot
be attained by an outdoors setting. Either way, the success of the reception
is dependent on location and planning.
Some Locations for a Reception in San Diego
The locations can range from sentimental ballrooms to exciting cruise ships,
and just about everything in between. A Country Affair offers a setting
reminiscent of an English countryside. This outdoor experience gives one
the feel of aristocratic charm and Old World taste, with sparkling white
gazebos and sprawling lawns. But, if you would like to take it to the ocean
with a ‘love boat-like’ atmosphere, try Hornblower Cruises and
Events. This cruise liner company gives the works and some room for dessert.
But, if the traditional hall is what you want, the Embassy suites, The San
Diego Mission Valley Hilton, or even Holiday Inn on the Bay will be more
than enough for anyone wanting to celebrate good times.
Get it on Tape
 Don’t
forget to hire a videographer for the reception. You certainly do not
want to miss Uncle Fred doing his “boogie woogie” on the dance
floor. Capture the more serious scenes of the Bride and Groom’s
first dance together. The tossing of bouquet and the garter, the ritualistic
cake eating of the bride and groom (and possible cake smearing), these
are all precious moments that you will want to keep a hold of. Videographers
are available all through the city.
